Legal Support Services for the Fraser Valley

In 1981 the provincial government of British Columbia privatized the services of process serving that had  previously been the mandate of the Sheriff's  Service. As a result of this change, Chilliwack Document Service was established to fill this need for process servers.

For thirty years Chilliwack Document Service has been committed to providing experienced and professional services in support of the legal and business communities.

Process Servers

Service of  legal documents on individuals, businesses and corporations. Documents served can be Supreme Court, Family Court, Small Claims Court, Residential Tenancy Act, filings and letters. Clients will receive a sworn Affidavit of Service, Affidavit of Attempted Service or Certificate of Service.

Document Delivery

Delivery of documents is the deliverance of any kind of document by means of leaving with an adult occupant or by dropping in the mail slot/box of the given address. A Certificate of Delivery will be issued.

Document  Filing

Chilliwack Document Service staff can file your documents in the Chilliwack Court Registry. Any filing fees (cheque) required by the Registry must be accompanied with the documents.

Property Verification

Chilliwack Document Service can conduct an inspection of residential or commercial property to verify occupancy and/or condition of the property. A report will be provided with photographs if requested.

Fees and costs for our services are available by clicking on theFees link on the left side of this page. Listed fees for service of documents include the costs of the service and the Affidavit required for court filing. Any costs for waiting time and/or kilometers travelled are added as an additional expense.
